**Do you meet the key eligibility criteria?**

In order to be eligible, you **MUST** meet ALL the following criteria.
- I am a UK National.
- I hold a full manual UK Driving Licence.
- I will need to undertake and pass a medical assessment if successful.
- I am aware that this role is physically demanding, and that I have a high level of mobility and fitness to carry out this role.
- I can undertake shift work.
- I will be able to provide all the ID documents required to complete my pre-employment screening and security clearance.

We are looking to recruit Immigration Officers to join our frontline Immigration Compliance and Enforcement (ICE) team based in Plas Eirias Business Centre, Colwyn Bay, Conwy, North Wales. This office covers the police force areas of North Wales.

This team forms part of a wider ICE Wales team that includes offices in Cardiff & Swansea and is part of the ICE North command. Occasional ad hoc travel will be required with potential overnight stays to support teams across Wales & West of England.

You will become part of a team where the opportunity to learn and develop is a continuous process. You will develop a strong team ethic that will allow you to support your colleagues and achieve the overall objectives of the department.

You will be working as part of a team of officers looking to detect and apprehend persons unlawfully present in the UK in line with relevant legislation.

Your initial training/mentoring may require travel and overnight stays to locations across South Wales. This training will be for a period of up to 12 months.

**Please note**, if successful, you must be prepared to undergo Aviation Custodial Training.

**Please also note** that, due to the location of the office and the requirement to drive official vehicles, you must hold a full valid UK manual driving licence.

**Person specification**:
We are looking for people who:

- Have the ability to work in a demanding and pressurised working environment.

- Can demonstrate strong communication skills with an ability to work quickly and build rapport with colleagues and partners.
- Have the ability to work a range of shifts including early and late starts, nightshifts and weekends. Additionally, to work a proportion of public holidays.
- Have the flexibility required to undertake short notice shift changes.
- Are committed to continuous improvement and the delivery of best practice.
- Are flexible, adaptive and creative in solving problems and dealing with change.
- Are committed to making Immigration Enforcement a great place to work.
- Are physically fit, which will be confirmed by a medical assessment.
- Are willing to become PST 3 arrest trained and to be refreshed annually within official timescales.
- Are willing to undertake mandatory Aviation Custodial Training as an integral part of the role.

If Professionalising Investigations Programme (PIP) trained; you will form part of the team that looks to take on, develop and lead PIP Level 1 criminal investigations, alongside standard Immigration Enforcement duties.

These include:

- Entry in breach of deportation orders.
- Identity document offences.
- Assaulting an Immigration Officer.
- Failure to comply with documentation process.
- Illegal working offences.

If not already PIP (L1) trained, there may be future opportunities to gain this qualification, alongside the core Immigration Enforcement role.
