Job Advert Description

This is an outstanding opportunity to join North Wales Police as an Administration Assistant within the Resource Management Unit. You’ll be joining on a Temporary contract, working full-time hours within an organisation that will truly support your success in the workplace.

**What does the RMU Administration Assistant role entail?**

1. To carry out the transactional administrative elements for the Resource Management Unit, which would comprise but not exclusive to training, rota and annual leave enquiries, in a timely and accurate manner.

2. To maintain and update the IT systems and records relevant to the Resource Management Unit.

3. Ensure all relevant records are updated, maintained and secure, complying with obligations under relevant legislation and organisational policy and highlight any discrepancies.

4. Administer and ensure the accuracy of Resource Management Unit information on the team files, intranet, and updating with basic guidance where required.

5. To deal with internal and external general enquiries efficiently and effectively and direct individuals to the relevant documentation if appropriate e.g. policies, procedures.

6. Assess and escalate any enquiries to the relevant level if required.

8. Co-ordinate appointments, meetings and events and ensure attendance of relevant personnel.

9. To assist RMU planners in the allocation of training.

10. To attend and participate in Resource Management Unit’s team meetings as directed

11. To maintain and run various reports in order to support the work of the RMU Planners and Force Resource Manager.

**What will I need to be considered for the RMU Administration Assistant role**:

- Possess and be able to evidence excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience of dealing with people at all levels, internally and externally.
- Computer literate to include experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel to a competent level.
- Able to demonstrate experience of using relevant IT systems and software for recording and retrieving information.
- Previous experience of providing general administrative support within an organisation to include minute taking.
- Must have ability to type/word process to 35 wpm.
- Be able to work as part of a team or independently using own initiative.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines, responding positively under pressure.
- Evidence of the ability to pay close attention to detail.
