Customer Services Team Leader

Saint Ives, United Kingdom BoilerJuice Full time

BoilerJuice is a UK-based ecommerce energy site. We are looking for a full-time **Customer Services Team Leader** to lead and motivate our experienced customer-facing team who are constantly challenged to resolve issues, complaints, or concerns in a professional and timely manner. Working in a fast-paced company, where our customer service and our reputation is a key to our success, you will need to have a proven track record in working in a similar role, as well as having excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Due to the nature of the business, there will be varied challenges to solve, and you should be able to use your powers of persuasion and your innovative thinking to deliver a first-class service and improve the customer experience.

**About us**

Although you may not have heard of BoilerJuice, we are an established company with a proven business model and a solid customer base. We are different from a lot of other ecommerce businesses because the logistics for delivering what we sell (domestic heating oil) are a bit more complicated than for many other products you can buy online

We are investing for further growth and are also creating new products that combine Internet-of-Things with smart data analysis to change the way a market works. That means working on innovative ways of managing a competitive marketplace.

Whilst we’re excited about what we do, we like to think we’re relatively down-to-earth. We don’t have a big hierarchy, a special dress code, or a company song about heating oil.

For the 1.5 million UK homes who depend on oil for heating and hot water, BoilerJuice makes life easier. We help hundreds of thousands of them get a better price and a more convenient service by connecting them impartially with nearly all of the suppliers in the market.

We provide a valuable service and this, coupled with our excellent customer services means that we have high levels of loyalty and have opportunities to extend our relationship. The business is profitable and is investing for growth, through increased market share in the UK, product enhancement and international expansion.

**We are looking for a talented individual to join the team with the passion and capability to deliver customer service to the very highest standards.
**In this role, you will**
- Manage the sales, service, and Contact Centre KPI performance of a busy customer services team
- Coach, develop and inspire a team to deliver improved individual results in performance and behaviours
- Create a motivated and engaged workforce though great communication, reward and recognition and personal development discussions
- Implement, embed, and support the achievement of quality standards across the team
- Prioritise and delegate work to ensure smooth running of the team and effortless experience for the customer
- Handle complex and escalated customer service issues
- Identify areas for improvement and introduce innovative ways to further improve our service levels

**You will have**:

- A minimum 2 years experience as a Customer Services Team Leader (or similar role)
- Experience of working in a busy Contact Centre with proven results in all Contact Centre, sales, and service KPI’s
- Passion to lead by example and a proven track record of delivering fantastic customer service yourself
- Skills to coach, develop and performance manage a team to retain and develop talent
- The ability to work well under pressure and be able to prioritise tasks and manage workloads to meet deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent decision-making and persuasion skills
- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to challenging situations
- Experience in collaborating with multiple departments and key decision makers
- A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think outside of the box to find solutions

**The reward...**
- Salary: £27,000 to £30,000 DOE
- Healthcare: Bupa Private Healthcare (on completion of probation)
- Pension: Company and personal contribution (on completion of probation)
- Holiday: 25 days per annum plus bank holidays (plus long service awards)
