Citation is a luxury, fully exclusive wedding and corporate events venue in the Merchant City area of Glasgow.

Our weddings and corporate events business has gone from strength to strength, and we are searching for new talent to join our existing team as a sales & events co-ordinator.

About you:
A highly motivated and passionate individual who has excellent written, and verbal communication skills, combined with a well-practised telephone manner.

You must be customer focused and results driven.

IT literate, immaculately presented and able to work under your own initiative.

You should be comfortable working with online booking systems.

Someone with a great personality and first-class people skills will thrive in this fast-paced role.

The role:
As a sales & events co-ordinator you will be the key point of contact for your clients from the initial enquiry until the day of the event.

You will guide your clients through the sales journey, and then the planning stages of their event.

You will split your time between our offices at Royal Exchange Square and Citation.

The role is offered on a full time, permanent basis, and there is a minimum expectation of 44 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handling incoming event enquiries.
- Supporting the business in maximising revenue potential.
- Understanding and proactively selling and up-selling food, drink and activity packages and products.
- Working towards the venue’s pre-booked revenue targets.
- Expertly deliver venue tours with enthusiasm to prospective clients.
- Regularly meet with clients to guide them through the planning stages of their events.
- Ocassionally attend events and assist the operations team.
- Outbound communication with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Working on corporate showcases events to build on customer profile.
- Attend regular networking events.
- Building relationships with new and existing clients.
- Daily booking and online reservation system administration, including processing booking / event payments.
- Expanding existing database of venue contacts and data collecting through proactive sales activities

Pre-Requisites

Sales experience with wedding or events industry or other relevant roles.

Working week Monday to Friday with occasional evenings.

Comfortable with online systems.

Excellent telephone manner.

Passion for wedding / corporate event industry and building relationships with key external suppliers.

Able to work extended hours when required.

Ability to remain calm and work well under pressure.

Ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines.

**Salary**:
Starting salary £26.5k p/a

Discretionary bonus scheme

Share of staff tips through staff run TRONC scheme.
