Student and Registry Services is one of the larger Professional Services divisions at UCL, providing essential services to UCL’s 50,000 students, 160,000 applicants and for supporting academic departments and administrative staff in delivering a high-quality student experience.

UCL Student Support and Wellbeing Services (SSW) provides information, advice and welfare support for all registered students, including delivery of related student events. UCL aims to extend its rich on-campus student experience and high standard support provision to UCL East. We believe that a focus on each and every student, alongside building a diverse and engaged community, is vital to helping students have quality student life and achieve their full potential at UCL and beyond.

**About the role**:
The SSW Coordinator will complement the work of mental health and disability advisers, student advisers, teaching and learning staff, and peer support programmes which are available locally. This post will be integral in helping to foster a sense of community and belonging at the newly established UCL East campus.

The SSW Coordinator will provide key administrative support to the SSW Team. This includes responding to Student Enquiries, answering the telephone, booking appointments and sharing key information. You will provide advice, liaise with services and UCL staff to ensure support for disabled students and prospective students and those who may be affected by wellbeing and/or mental health conditions. With support, you will identify reasonable adjustments for individual students, liaising with academic and other staff to ensure their needs are disseminated in a confidential manner, as well as promoting Student Support and Wellbeing services and leading on wellbeing initiatives throughout the UCL community.

**About you**:
To excel in this role, you need to have experience in a role which involves supporting others, preferably in an educational or health and social care setting, experience of advising students on a wide range of wellbeing matters, and an understanding of confidentiality and data protection. You should also have experience developing and delivering impactful presentations, workshops and training to a diverse range of stakeholders.

You are highly organised and are able to prioritise your workload, work to multiple deadlines, and work proactively and independently with mínimal supervision. You also have excellent administrative skills including the ability to maintain accurate and detailed records, and excellent IT skills (MS Office). You are a confident and clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure or when dealing with challenging situations. You are able to listen and advise, exercise tact and diplomacy and maintain confidentiality, and convey and interpret information according to set procedures.
