Student and Registry Services is one of the larger Professional Services divisions at UCL, providing essential services to UCL’s 50,000 students, 160,000 applicants and for supporting academic departments and administrative staff in delivering a high-quality student experience.

UCL Student Support and Wellbeing Services (SSW) provides information, advice and welfare support for all registered students, including delivery of related student events. UCL aims to extend its rich on-campus student experience and high standard support provision to UCL East. We believe that a focus on each and every student, alongside building a diverse and engaged community, is vital to helping students have quality student life and achieve their full potential at UCL and beyond.

**About the role**:
The Student Support and Wellbeing Business Partner is a key part of SSW and contributes to the work of the SSW Management Team. They liaise closely with students and colleagues in their allocated School, ensuring that students receive holistic and well-coordinated support. The SSW Business Partner works collaboratively with all SSW services, helps to resolve complex student cases and promotes the work of SSW across their School, including managing a team of Student Advisers.

**About you**:
You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, together with excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people. You must be effective in prioritising tasks whist managing a demanding workload and be able to remain calm under pressure, for example when dealing with challenging and stressful situations.

The Student Support and Wellbeing Business Partner reports to the Deputy Director of Student Support and Wellbeing (SSW), who is responsible for training and development and ensuring appropriate standards of performance and conduct. The post-holder works using their own initiative in a self-directed and proactive manner, referring complex problems or issues requiring policy decisions to their manager.
