Providing invaluable support to the Marketing & Communications Manager, you'll help ensure the Aldi personality is always unique, powerful and consistent in the marketplace.
Insightful and knowledgeable, you'll help in all areas of product advertising, marketing and PR. That makes it an exciting and fast-paced team to join. We do things our own way at Aldi. But whatever we're doing, we must be getting it right. With a wave of impressive sales figures behind us, we're opening new stores at lightning speed. Which means our marketing and communications need to keep up.
We now have a fantastic opportunity available for an in-house Video Editor to join our team at the Aldi Head Office in Atherstone. The position is a fixed term contract to cover a 12-month period.
At Aldi, people are at the heart of everything we do. Our Internal Communications department works across multiple content streams to effectively communicate messages, projects, and initiatives to our colleagues in the UK and Ireland. Working collaboratively with our Internal Communications video team, you will help build, design, and edit videos and digital content for a series of departments including Buying, HR, National Sustainability, and various other project teams.
**Your New Role**:
- Liaising and building strong relationships with key stakeholders of all levels across the business
- Working across the business to identify opportunities for new digital content
- Create and edit a wide range of videos for internal cascade across the business
- Work collaboratively with our current video team to continuously improve video content
- Assisting with the creation of briefs and communications that have the potential to impact over 40,000 colleagues
- Liaising and building strong relationships with our agencies to ensure timely delivery and accuracy in materials produced
- Monitoring and controlling adherence to all deadlines
- Continuous improvement within role, simplifying processes and operations to maximise efficiencies
- Supporting the delivery of the departmental strategy as required
**About You**:
- Previous experience as a video editor, with a strong knowledge of different editing software e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Da Vinci Resolve & Adobe Creative Cloud
- Ability to project manage a video from concept, to storyboarding to final delivery, considering the key message and how to engage colleagues appropriately
- Ability to resolve simple issues with audio and video content in post-production
- Cut footage with speed and efficiency, colour correct shots and grade where appropriate
- Fix recorded audio and soundtracks to video where appropriate
- Organised with an excellent attention to detail
- Able to investigate, analyse and challenge appropriately
- Comfortable in managing a varied workload, conflicting deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work individually and as part of a wider team
- Basic Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experienced in working in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive and able to use your initiative
- Ability to demonstrate high levels of creativity
**What You’ll get in Return**:
- Salary starting £34,690 rising to £40,510
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
