**Hours of work**: Part-time 22.5 hours per week, plus 2 Saturdays per year to be agreed, for which time off in lieu will be given

**Grade/Salary**:£29,055 pro rata (£17,433 actual salary)

The Admissions Officer is the first point of contact between St Peter’s School and prospective families. Their role is to provide an informative, bespoke and seamless journey through the admissions process and ultimately to secure new day and boarding pupils for the School.

They will work closely with the Registrar to ensure that data is held and shared on each prospective pupil and that all of the elements of the School’s Admissions Policy are met.

They will work closely with the Marketing team on events and other methods to enable prospective pupils to make their first enquiry, to visit the school and through to the point when they join as new starters.

In addition, they will handle complex and confidential questions on areas such as bursary support, SEN or health needs.

**Main duties**
- Building a relationship between the school and prospective families, learning about the family needs/concerns/child's interests to encourage a school visit
- Recording each contact with a family in order that the admissions database is maintained and up-to-date throughout the enquiry/visit/admissions process;
- Following up with families in writing / by telephone where appropriate
- Cultivating an appropriate, on-going, ‘bespoke' service for each prospective family, including follow-up of the initial request in order to:

- Handling complex and confidential queries, for example SEN, family circumstances, health issues requesting advice where applicable and communicating to DoAMC and other relevant staff
- Ensuring that annual admissions targets are reached
- Arranging bespoke tours and visits for families including pupil-led tours; informal and formal meetings with the Head Master and leadership team who must be fully briefed; providing accurate information and following up all visits
- Liaising with Admissions and school admin teams on whole school visits - taking families on tours and following up with them
- With the wider Admissions and Marketing team, arranging and running open events, assessment days and induction days
- Assisting the Registrar in arranging assessment tests for applicants on main intake test dates and ad hoc
- Maintaining strong relationships with feeder schools, attending events where necessary and working closely with the Admissions and Marketing Assistant
- Creating and maintaining relationships with international agents, in particular those in target countries
- With the DoAMC revising and reviewing best practice for Admissions and keep up to date with developments in the sector.
- All staff at St Peter’s School are required to observe all relevant Health and Safety, Equality and Data Protection legislation and procedures._
