We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Officer to join our organisation. As a HR Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR Manager with effective management of our human resources and ensuring that our employees have a positive and fulfilling work experience.

The position is based at our York office with a potential for hybrid working.

The new position will assist the HR Manager in a variety of tasks.

Duties include:
Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop accurate job descriptions.

Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries, concerns, providing advice and guidance to employees and managers.

Ensure that all HR administration is completed in a timely and accurate way.

Support the management of disciplinary, grievance, performance management and attendance issues supporting managers with guidance and advice.

Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans.

Identify training and development needs across the organisation and assist in designing and delivering training programs.

Work with the SHEQ Coordinator on induction programs for new employees, ensuring an effective on-boarding process that engages new employees and promotes positive behaviours.

Support career development initiatives and succession planning activities.

Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

Stay up to date with employment legislation and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Record staff absences and making referrals to our Occupational Health provider.

Maintain accurate HR records, ensuring confidentiality and data protection compliance.

Produce Management Information on a range of HR Key Performance Indicators.

Promote positive employee relations by fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.

Support the HR Manager and the Senior Leadership Team with the delivery of our HR Strategy
