**Job description**
- Monthly administration of payroll for 650 people (and growing).
- Supporting HR Payroll Officer
- Checking employees input correctly on the HR system.
- Dealing with payroll enquiries from staff.
- Double checking induction documents correctly filled out.
- Process and Administer payroll. G., new starters, P45s and New Starter Checklist, salary updates etc
- Dealing with outsourced payroll provider
- Assist with preparation of employee deduction payroll reports.
- Handling employee benefits for a large workforce including health insurance and other deductions / contributions.
- Ensuring personnel records, both on the HR system and soft file, are accurately and promptly maintained.
- Working with benefits providers, running ad hoc reports, liaising with Department Managers.
- Working closely with HR Team and other Departments
- Other ad hoc duties as required.

Required Qualifications/Training
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above (or international equivalent)

- Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
- Strong administration skills
- Strong numerical skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office - particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Resilient nature and able to work under pressure.
- Willingness to learn.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality - tact and discretion are essential.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail, and ability to work accurately.
- Able to demonstrate ability to coordinate information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Attributes
- Previous experience of working as a HR Administrator or Payroll Administrator
- Understanding of payroll and pension processes would be advantageous.
- Related HR or CIPP qualification.

**Salary, Hours, Benefits**
- The starting salary for HR Administrator is £11.50 per hour.
- 39.5 hours preferred (8.30am to 5.30pm Monday-Thursday; 5pm Friday) but part-time available depending on experience.
- 3/2 alternative working from home pattern staff after probation.
- 23 days holiday a year, rising to 26 days (3 days reserved for Christmas closure of the office)
- 3 holiday buy backs per year after 1 year of service
- Extra day’s holiday for your birthday after 2 years’ service.
- Private medical insurance available after 2 years’ service
- Attending fee earner meetings and training sessions (every other month)
