Student Experience Administrator

**JOB OVERVIEW**

Our Lancaster University International Study Centre (ISC) are looking for a Student Experience Administrator to join the team, responsible for the student-facing activity within the centre.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To be the first point of contact for Student Support Helpdesk i.e. face to face or online (ISC Mailbox)
- To provide student facing advice and support
- To co-ordinate the arrivals process, encouraging students to inform the ISC of their arrival dates, to enable more efficient planning for induction, and safeguarding their welfare on arrival to the UK, in particular under 18’s
- To co-ordinate transport arrangements for student arrivals, accommodation transfers and arrivals events and activities. Liaising with external stakeholders as required, including transfer companies and the local airport duty manager
- Oversee the student induction process, to ensure all students receive a smooth, legally compliant entry into the ISC and that all necessary welfare arrangements are in place to facilitate each student’s academic success
- To coordinate a selection of enrichment activities during the induction period, including campus tours, competitions and events.
- Liaise with accommodation providers during arrivals periods, ensuring the ISC has up-to-date information on student arrivals, and any issues are dealt with as they arise
- Produce student correspondence including confirmation of studies, attendance letters
- Organise elections for student reps, assist with student rep training and work closely with reps
- To issues student results and offer letters
- To oversee the Centre’s Job Ready and Virtual Internship activity
- To work closely with Head of Curriculum and Progression to organise and support Staff-Student Liaison Committee and run student focus groups
- To support with the collection of outstanding student fees and update appropriate systems with data relating to student charges.
- To foster productive relationships with the student body and members of staff
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of students with whom you come into contact
- Produce data-driven reports for the Centre Director / other members of the team as appropriate.
**EXPERIENCE**
- Experience of working with a student management system (Desirable)
- Experience of working within an educational setting (Essential)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, in particular, Word and Excel (Essential)
- Meticulous attention to detail (Essential)
- Excellent communication skills with a good standard of written English
- Works on own initiative and is a good team player
- Joint Council for Qualifications regulations knowledge (Desirable)
- Further and Higher Education Courses/Structures experience (Desirable)
