Security Officer

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team at TJC. The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the warehouse premises, assets, and personnel.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor and control access points to the warehouse, including checking identification, verifying credentials, and maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing personnel.
- Operate and monitor security equipment, such as CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems, to identify potential security threats and respond promptly.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to any security breaches, emergencies, or incidents, including conducting initial investigations, gathering evidence, and reporting incidents to the appropriate authorities and management.
- Collaborate with other team members, such as warehouse staff and, to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
- Enforce company policies and procedures related to security, safety, and loss prevention, ensuring compliance by all personnel within the warehouse.
- Provide assistance and guidance to warehouse staff and visitors regarding security protocols and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs, reports, and incident documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices, and make recommendations for enhancements to the security program.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent. SIA license is must to have.
- Proven experience as a Security Officer or a similar role, preferably in a retail or warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices.
- Familiarity with security equipment, such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential security threats or suspicious activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all levels.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively, and make quick and sound decisions.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong integrity and ethical behaviour, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

**Salary**: £11.00-£11.50 per hour
