Assistant Office Co-ordinator

We have a permanent full-time position for an organized individual to work within our support services department in Derby. Good telephone manners, knowledge of Microsoft Office, and good numeracy & literacy skills are essential. Hours 8.30 - 4.30 Monday to Friday.
You will ideally be flexible in your attitude to work and prepared to work as part of our team providing a wide range of administrative support to our Office Co-ordinator and service management team. It will be necessary for you to have telephone interaction with our customers, suppliers and staff and therefore excellent communication skills are essential. There will be a requirement to prioritise your workload on a daily basis to meet the demands of our service.
What you will be doing:
- Provide the Management with full, efficient and confidential administrative support, including managing and screening telephone calls
- Ensure that the office and telephones are open to both internal and external callers during office opening hours and that the phone is answered in a timely way and always in a professional manner at all times
- Customer Help Desk Administration
- Liaise with service providers and suppliers as and when required
- Stock control and ordering of supplies, including chemicals, uniform, stationery, equipment and other
- Fleet Management and Insurance
- Ensure that office space is well maintained and tidy
- All filing, photocopying, binding
- Updating internal and external contact listings and other documents as required
- Other day-to-day office tasks
Pay: £26,000.00 per year
