**Consulate Officer (& Sign Language Interpreter) Job Description**:
- **Sign language interpreter (MUST HAVE)**
Under direction, interprets/transliterates spoken language using American / Britian Sign Language or other manual sign system, and vice versa, to facilitate communication between hearing and deaf/hard of hearing; serve as a liaison between deaf/hard of hearing.
- **Communication skills**
Position requires communication skills to create partnerships, adapt to any situation, and to ensure that managers are informed of important information in a timely manner.
Liaise with many stakeholders, and being able to disseminate and absorb communication and information is a necessity.
- **Time management skills**
The ability to organize and plan how to smartly divide time between specific activities is a key Consulate officer skill.
- **Strong organizational skills**
- **Ability to multitask & Attention to detail**
Provide administrative support, must answer phone calls as and when they come in, and deal with scheduling meetings -- often all at the same time.
Multitasking is a skill that all Consulate officer must be able to master to deal with competing priorities and administrative tasks.
- Fluent (Writing & Speaking) **English & (Arabic preferable)**:
- University’s Degree
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Previous working experience with Embassy is an added qualification.
**Salary**: £2,500.00 per month
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- London, SW1X 7JU: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
