Combining events planning with data analysis, the team organise and support the delivery of a range of assessments for the medical and dental schools. Assessments range in size from 30-40 students to around 900, and are delivered in a variety of ways, from online invigilated examinations, to ISCE and OSCE assessments, which require students to demonstrate clinical competencies in a simulated environment. Flexibility and adaptability are important to assist with exam delivery, which can occasionally fall outside of typical working hours.

- Populating exam forms using data shared by academic staff.
- Overseeing Excel based trackers to review progress of assessment forms and data checks for ongoing student assessments.
- Preparing data files for assessment forms. Attention to detail and the ability to locate data from various systems is key to completing the data files, whilst also asking other team members to help check accuracy of work.
- Exam preparation, including utilising an Excel progress tracker to review exam venue and student arrangements, plus exam software set-up.
- Servicing and attending a variety of meetings, including post-test meetings, working groups and team meetings.
- Keeping open communication with the team, asking for support, and checking each other’s work, plus motivating each other is key to the team’s success.

This position will mainly be based between the John Bull building in Plymouth, however, during assessments you may be required to be present at various locations across Plymouth. Occasional travel to our Torbay, Truro and Taunton sites may be required to support the activities of the team.
