**Key Responsibilities**:

- Learn and understand the company's transportation policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist in coordinating the transportation of goods, materials, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to designated locations.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to plan and optimise transportation routes, considering factors such as distance, cost, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor and track transportation activities, providing regular updates on shipment status and resolving any issues or delays.
- Assist in managing a fleet of vehicles, including scheduling maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with national transport regulations and safety standards.
- Daily administration e.g. scanning and checking proof of deliveries (PODs), adding jobs onto the system, and general admin.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of transportation improvement initiatives, such as process enhancements and technology upgrades.
- Assist in analysing transportation data and generating reports to evaluate performance, identify trends, and recommend areas for improvement.
- Support the implementation of sustainable transportation practices, such as optimising fuel consumption and reducing carbon emissions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to transportation and logistics.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Qualified to A-Level (or equivalent).**:

- **Driving licence and own car essential.**:

- No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided. A willingness to learn and develop is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment. Full support will be provided initially, to support you in developing the knowledge to make effective decisions.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, ensuring the timely completion of tasks and projects.
- A strong work ethic.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team, demonstrating a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- A passion for the transportation industry, dedication to the team and Company, and a desire to learn and grow within the field.

**Shift Pattern**
- Monday-Friday, day shift.
- Flexibility required.
