We are looking for a **Transport Router **to join our Transport Team **in Wardle**. The **Transport Router **will report to the Transport Coordinator and their primary responsibilities will include planning workloads and optimizing fleet efficiency.

They will be the driving force behind our delivery success, managing driver workloads, reacting to route changes, and maintaining clear communication channels.

The post holder will be required to plan workloads to ensure compliance with driver’s hours and working time directive legislation as well as to complete all administration activities within the transport operation area.

The **Transport Router** will have a solid geographical knowledge in order to maximize fleet efficiency, minimize running costs and re-route when necessary.

The duties will also include clear communication with various departments and handling driver queries promptly.

In order to maintain deliveries efficiently, you will have to be available for some ‘out of hours’ and ‘on call’ duties when deemed necessary.

**Skills we are looking for**:

- Proven experience in transport planning or logistics.
- Strong understanding of driver’s hours and working time directive legislation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in geographical knowledge and route planning.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
- Flexibility to handle out-of-hours duties as required.
- Knowledge of agricultural logistics (desirable but not essential).

Pay: £39,500.00 per year
