Due to our current office administrator finishing for maternity leave we are looking for temporary cover or we have a full time position available for someone who is well experienced with the accounting software XERO.

Temporary position will be undertaking all basic admin duties and operating the weighbridge, this job is not remote and you will be working from our office in Truro, If you are seeking a full time position with our company you will need to be able to show an excellent understanding of our accounting software XERO and show good leadership skills as you will be heading up lots of the office responsibilities.

Any previous experience in the waste or scrap industry is very desirable for us.

Roles will include:

- Serving customers
- Answering the phone
- managing all the invoicing and payments
- completing waste transfer notes (training given)
- working with third party websites
- Assigning jobs which are coming in
- Using the accounting software Xero - (A good knowledge on this is crucial)
- Organising transport
- Filing, photocopying and all other general administration duties

Skills and experience required:

- Experience dealing with members of the public and other the phone
- Experience on how to use Xero or at the very least a similar software (you will be using this daily) - bookkeeping and recconciliation
- The ability to work well as a part of a team inside and outside the office
- Know how to use Microsoft Excel/Word/powerpoint
- Worked within the job title for at least 3 years (negotiable) experience is required
- Excellent IT skills as we aim to transfer all day to day tasks online
- Arranging transport for the drivers in the yard

All the above skills are important to be able to work well within this position but above all else we need someone who is going to be able to actively engage and build great work relationships with customers.

The position available is on a full time basis Monday - Friday 8.30-5pm,

Please note the salary range is based on a temporary staff member with leadership qualities and a maternity Temp.
