Together for Childhood at the NSPCC is our long-term project working with local communities to make them safer for children. We work with local partners and families to come together to prevent hard to children and tackle the problems that cause it, head-on. Join the Together for Childhood team in Stoke as a Research & Evaluation Officer (Local Lead) (12-month Maternity Cover) and lead the development and implementation of our local evaluation and learning work focused on child sexual abuse prevention. **Do you want to lead innovative research and evaluation to tackle child abuse?**

Together for Childhood is a place-based initiative which aims to radically improve the way we tackle child abuse and neglect through systems change. Together for Childhood sites are places of continuous learning and the NSPCC conducts community focused research and evaluation to provide insight into what works and what makes a difference.

We're looking for an experienced researcher to lead on the design and implementation of local evaluation projects, as well as supporting the central evaluation of Together for Childhood. Specifically, we're looking for:

- A commitment to collaborative, inclusive and participatory practice in all areas of your work
- Strong skills in building respectful and productive relationships with children, families and strategic stakeholders and local partners
- The ability to share findings to varied audiences, but particularly with the community Together for Childhood works in.
- Experience or interest in multiple adversities and supportive models, as well as child sexual abuse prevention.

The post is full-time and permanent but part-time/flexible working will be considered. Your base **is** the Stoke Together for Childhood Centre where you will work alongside the friendly and supportive team of NSPCC practitioners, adminstrators and management staff. The Research and Evaluation Officer (local lead) will work from home, as well as being in the Stoke Together for Childhood office for part of the week. Some travel to other NSPCC locations, including London, will be necessary.
