**Finance Assistant**

**Job Type**: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Tamworth, Office Based

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00, 1 hour lunch

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Handle cashbook postings and bank reconciliations
- Produce monthly petty cash analysis sheets
- Assist with carrier purchase invoices and POD retrieval
- Analyse carrier invoices for monthly transport costings
- Assist with purchase ledger matching and stock control
- Aid Finance Manager with month-end journals and nominal analysis
- Manage company vehicle costs and archiving of documents
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and internal customers
- Review systems and processes for improvements

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- Previous experience in a financial environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong commercial acumen and integrity
- Self-disciplined and efficient, with proactive nature
- Excellent team working and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and problem solve with attention to detail
