**Reporting to**:Child Protection Service Team Leader

**Duration**:_This position is funded for four years**_

We are looking for a **highly organised, **experienced project co-ordinator who can help deliver our T**herapeutic Support Programme for Black children in foster care who are being reunified with their birth families** _(3 days a week)_, and deliver AFRUCA's **Specialist Training Programme for professionals working in child protection** _(2 days a week)._

This will be a co-ordinating role and the post-holder will be the key contact point for referrers, service users and the independent therapists working with AFRUCA as part of the Therapy service. They will liaise with training commissioners and participants to ensure effective delivery of AFRUCA virtual and face-to-face training courses including managing course bookings, and working internally with our finance department to ensure prompt payment for all completed services. The post-holder will be highly organised, able to hit the ground running, be flexible, assertive and empathetic, as they will be working with a range of people and personalities from different cultural and professional backgrounds.

**Detailed Job Description**

1. Support the functioning of the AFRUCA Therapy Service for Children Returning

Home from Foster Care
- Help manage therapy service for children and parents, including service referral

system, service user record management system, therapy assessment

appointment system, payment processing system etc.
- Produce and disseminate promotional material and undertake activities to market

service to local authorities and other agencies across London.
- Develop the service’s interpreters database and ensure well vetted interpreters are

used to support parents and children accessing the service
- Act as main point of contact between the AFRUCA service and external parties
- Co-ordinate all service activities, resources, information, publicity, records keeping

and awareness events
- Work with AFRUCA Social Work Team to co-ordinate internal referrals from the

service
- Interact clearly, sensitively and with empathy with children, parents, practitioners,

service providers in all situations.

2. Co-ordinate delivery of AFRUCA’s Child Protection Training Programme for

Professionals
- Assist with marketing AFRUCA’ training programme to relevant agencies to

generate commissioning, attendance, new and repeat clients.
- Manage logistics of AFRUCA in-house/virtual training courses i.e. arrange

zoom/teams bookings, venues and refreshments, prepare training materials

including delegates packs, name badges, registration list, evaluation forms and

certificates
- Ensure commissioning agencies receive accurate and timely information about

training courses booked for delivery by AFRUCA
- Ensure all external training information and dates are regularly updated unto

AFRUCA’s website, social media and other outlets
- Effectively communicate training information to delegates booked to attend

AFRUCA organised training courses
- Ensure all enquiries relating to training courses, bookings etc. from interested

parties are promptly attended to
- Explore and support the design of AFRUCA courses for e-learning to make them

more accessible.
- Explore accreditation for AFRUCA’s training courses.
- Liaise with AFRUCA trainers regarding training dates to ensure there are no

clashes with other commitments and assist at training events

3. Service Administration, Monitoring and Evaluation
- Maintain the service electronic databases, ensuring case files and papers are filed

confidentially and efficiently and are easily accessible to authorised staff.
- Work closely with AFRUCA Finance Department to ensure timely payment for

completed work and services delivered.
- Assist with the overall tracking, monitoring and analysis of AFRUCA’s training

programme and therapy service to assess impact of AFRUCA’s intervention on

users
- Produce a quarterly report to inform others of progress in both activities
- Contribute to relevant AFRUCA internal and external activities as required.
- Perform any other duty as required by the Team Leader.

4. Professional Development
- Hold regular review meetings with your manager to reflect on performance and

promote your professional development.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and professional team building sessions with

others in the organisation.
- Participate in the yearly staff appraisal process to assess your performance and

identify learning and development needs/opportunities.
- Attend relevant internal and external events and training courses to improve your

skills and build your cultural competence and understanding
