Our client, a successful car dealership firm, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Manager to join their team

**The role**:

- Support, mentor and develop the HR team by setting individual and team objectives that are aligned with company’s goals and missions.
- Tracking and monitoring progress to the team through regular one-one meetings
- Support the dealership with specific in-house recruitment events and/or open evenings
- Develop relationships with local education providers to support work placements and apprenticeship programs through hosting Careers Talks on campus or virtually.
- Regularly review and develop the Company Induction Process to ensure that it is fit for purpose and supports the effective engagement and onboarding of new starters.
- Support Directors to review and develop initiatives for retention of best talent including succession planning, flexible working, working hours, job share, compensation and benefits strategy, staff engagement etc.
- Design and implement policies that promote a healthy work environment.
- Coordinate with managers to organise colleague training and learning programs where necessary.
- Ensure that the HR team and all colleagues work in compliance with all legal rules and regulations.
- Ensure that colleague grievances and complaints are handled and dealt with promptly and appropriate in line with company policy.
- Support the development of a positive work environment and culture which in turn prevents the risk of litigation, discrimination, and harassment claims.
- Oversee the management of the Company’ Integrated HR and Payroll system
- Support the Payroll and HR Manager with full review of monthly payroll ensuring accuracy of wages being processed and in compliance with BACS deadline
- Management of the registration/de-registration of Apprentices on the government Apprenticeship portal
- Oversee the management of Company’s Health and Safety system.
- Oversee the management of the Company Driver and Licence check monitoring system.
- Coordinate events and activities that boost colleague morale and engagement and support the Company’s CSR strategy.
- Analyse HR statistics and metrics like employee performance, turnover, retention, absence, cost per hire rate etc. and use the data to suggest improvements to strategy and policy development.

**Key skills/Experience**:

- Professional HR qualification or equivalent work experience
- Proven hands-on experience with using a HR and Payroll management system
- Sound knowledge of UK Employment law
- Good understanding of recruitment processes and employee benefits programs
- Strategic mindset whilst being operationally focussed and ability to influence change in organisational culture
- Proven experience dealing with employee relations effectively
- Mentorship, People Management and Leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
