The post holder is responsible for supporting the ongoing delivery of the Network’s work plan, which is informed by the National Paediatric Diabetes Strategy. The aim of the Network is to support member units to improve the standards of care and outcomes for children & young people with Diabetes.

The postholder will deal directly with patients and public, independent providers and other healthcare professionals either face to face or via telephone or correspondence, ensuring all feedback is managed appropriately and acknowledged.

The post holder will foster constructive relationships within the Trust and externally to ensure sound and effective two-way communication between the Network and healthcare professionals, service users, external agencies and the public.

The post holder will maintain an active understanding of current thinking and innovative interventions / programmes regarding diabetes management both locally and nationally.

The post holder will support teams to use and input into data reporting systems where necessary and provide help and guidance.

**Accountable to**: Network Chair, Thames Valley Paediatric Diabetes Network

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

Network Chair and Network Manager, Multi-disciplinary clinical staff, Clinical administration teams, IT department, General Practitioners, commissioning teams, Charities and Parent representatives and wider parents and families, and Industry representatives.
