We are recruiting fora Research Administrative Assistant who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards “great people, great place”.

The Trust is involved in a number of research studies and the role of the Research Administrative Assistant is to support the Clinical Research Team with a variety of administrative duties including creative web design, social media and IT support.

You will need to have a thirst for continual development with a desire to learn new skills along with an eye for detail. Therefore we are looking for a creative and innovative team player to join our department, who enjoys networking and building relationships with our patients and members of the multidisciplinary team.

We are looking for an organised individual who has experience of working in an administration role. You must have good IT skills, excellent communication and planning skills with the ability to work independently and flexibly.

Please note, this vacancy is for 22.5 hours per week.

Some research experience is desirable but training can also be provided. Ideally the successful applicant will be familiar with NHS computer systems and databases but this is not essential.

The right applicant will need to be enthusiastic and ready to work actively to support the clinical research team in recruiting patients in line with NIHR targets.

To provide administrative support to the Research Team. This will include ensuring the quality and integrity of the research records, maintaining the research database; EDGE. Ensure research participant safety is maintained and their experience is positive by treating all participants, relatives and colleagues with respect, dignity, and courtesy in accordance with Trust Values.

They will need to be able to work autonomously within guidelines agreed with the line manager.
