**The Opportunity**:
The School of Informatics is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated communications professional to support two of our flagships projects.

They will join the Informatics Communications Team and work closely with the School’s Marketing, Communications and Outreach Manager.

The Informatics Tutoring Scheme is a project in which Informatics students and staff support Scottish Computer Science exam-level high school students through individual or small group online tutorial sessions. The post holder will administer the Tutoring Scheme on daily basis and support its evaluation.

In 2023, the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh celebrates 60 years Computer Science and of Artificial Intelligence (AI) research by leading on a programme of events and activities throughout 2023. The programme includes events, activities and campaign aimed at our graduates. The post holder will assist with the development of alumni communications plan to support the 60 years of computer science and AI programme.

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience required**:

- Vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 3, ONC or equivalent) plus proven work experience in a busy office environment;
- or School education to standard grade or equivalent plus proven relevant work experience.
- Professional training or qualifications in communications or digital communications are not required but will be beneficial.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent problem solving skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
