Permanent - Part time hours - 22.20 Hours per week - 3 Days per week

The Client Charging Officer oversees the accurate billing of Service Users in Adult Social Care who are deemed liable to contribute to their Care and Support expenses. Additionally, they ensure that the Council recovers costs from the Health Service in instances where it has been determined that the Health Service bears responsibility for funding.

**About the role**:
We operate in a dynamic environment where priorities frequently shift, making strong time management abilities and adaptability crucial.

We seek a driven individual to join our team, tasked with ensuring accurate billing by the Council, whether it involves clients contributing to their Care and Support costs or recharging the NHS, as agreed.

The Client Charging Officer oversees the correct billing of approximately 700 clients each month and handles recharging the Health Service when necessary.

You will gather information from various sources to ensure accurate invoicing of clients for their contributions towards their Care & Support expenses. Additionally, you will produce Personal Budget Reconciliation statements as necessary, providing assurance to both vulnerable individuals and professionals that the Council's charges for the services rendered are correct.

This role demands an individual dedicated to a customer-centric approach, meticulous attention to detail in their work, and a demonstrated ability to adjust communication styles to cater to the diverse range of clients supported by the Council.

You will possess an excellent telephone manner, together with strong I.T. and numeracy skills with accuracy and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in your workload.

Previous experience of working in a similar type of role is desirable but not essential, providing you can demonstrate you have the key skills needed.
