**The Role - Quality Coordinator**

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual into our Compliance Team. Reporting to the External Compliance Manager, the Quality Coordinator supports providers in the delivery, development, review and assessment of RQF qualifications, customised and QEL/IF provision. In the role you will assess and review the ability of centres to meet regulatory and AIM Group recognition and quality assurance requirements and support providers in the implementation of AIM Group processes.

The key activities for this role are:
**Tea**m**
- Provide information, advice and guidance in relation to assessment, internal and external quality systems and processes to centres offering RQF, customised and QEL provision.
- Support the External Compliance Manager by providing reports and supporting papers
- Work as part of the AIM Group team and contribute to the review and development of AIM Group self-assessment and quality activities including audit and review
- Attend relevant external meetings as required (e.g. conferences and Awarding Organisation Forums)
- Contribute to the continual improvement of AIM Group systems and processes and the service provided to customers

**Compliance**
- Contribute to the internal preparations required for external and internal audit
- Contribute to the on-going risk assessment of centres and the completion of risk assessment record
- Ensure the annual declaration process is followed and completed by all centres
- Coordinate the Qualification approval process
- Conduct spot checks as per the agreed annual plan
- Conduct investigations for complaints as part of the complaints process

**External Quality Assurance**
- Agree, in consultation with the External Compliance Manager, an annual programme of quality interventions with recognised centres
- Ensure the integrity of the award of credit for regulated qualifications and unregulated provision by carrying out and monitoring quality interventions, including monitoring quality assurance arrangements within centres and undertaking moderation and verification of selected samples of assessed work
- Monitor and coordinate legacy Open College Network West Midlands EQA reports
- Complete sampling strategy for High priority qualifications
- Contribute to and attend Access to HE Final Awards Boards
- Produce relevant reports for each quality intervention undertaken
- Monitor the completion of any action points identified within quality intervention reports

**Training**
- Contribute, as appropriate, to the planning of AIM Group training events
- Promote, deliver and contribute to the quality assurance of Assessor, Internal Quality Assurance, External Quality Assurance and other relevant quality training both internally and externally

**The minimum requirements for this role **are**
- Qualified to level 4 or above or significant relevant experience
- Understanding and experience of post-16 education and lifelong learning
- Understanding of the function of awarding organisations and the regulatory structures they operate within
- Experience of monitoring and reviewing quality assurance systems across a wide range of providers
- Direct experience of criteria referenced assessment
- Experience of developing and delivering quality assurance and assessor training

**The below would be desirable but not essential**
- Recognised quality assurance and assessor qualification (e.g. Level 4 Award in the External Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice)
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Knowledge and experience of developments in credit-based learning
- Knowledge of AIM Group quality assurance procedures
