LOCATION: Flexible in the UK

HOURS: Full-Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

Resilience is one of the key risks which we face as we seek to transform our bank. To reflect the importance of this, a new Head of Resilience role has been created supporting both BCB and CIB.

This is an exciting and unique role where your leadership will make the difference to our Customers and Colleagues across both our Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) and Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) divisions.

About This Opportunity

The Head of Resilience will lead a team of focused professionals, to design and, implement and embed a clear Resilience strategy, to ensure we both prevent and respond to incidents and outages in order to protect service and operations. Specifically you'll be responsible for and evolve our approach of the services that we provide and receive through our Market Data, Supply Chain Management, and Incident Management areas.

You'll contribute to broader strategic planning and business decision-making by providing insight, control and thought leadership, advising the business and building relationships with our key strategic suppliers and increase the commercial value of services from 3rd party providers.

Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the Group wide end to end management and provision of third party market data (external pricing and reference data), managing the budget- Ensuring the resilience and effectiveness of our market data services, with strong internal partner management and external relationship management of key vendors- Manage and oversight the operational resilience and associated risks of our supply chain in BCB and CIB, particularly the high proportion of suppliers which support an Important Business Service, against the backdrop of evolving external regulatory requirements- Promote the Group’s sustainability agenda to our supply chain and be an advocate for sustainability- Provide incident management capability 24/7/365, with Group wide collaboration, utilising a partner network to support incident resolution- Implement a sustainable, cost-effective target operating model to support business needs, adapting as the business model evolves- Lead and develop existing business relationships and engage with senior business leaders to understand long-term strategic resilience challenges and value- Manage and deliver required outcomes for a portfolio of projects, reporting progress to senior colleagues- Identify and evaluate resilience solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs- Collaborate with internal and external partners, ensuring that appropriate frameworks are in place with third parties to mitigate risks and deliver maximum value

What You’ll Need

Key Capabilities/ Knowledge:
- Risk Management: An understanding of risk strategy and frameworks with an ability to identify, articulate and manage risks associated with third parties (e.g. cyber, data and sourcing), as well as the wider evolving regulatory landscape for resilience- Strong leadership skills with significant experience of leading a large, multi-disciplinary function- Supplier Management and/or Market Data knowledge and experience highly desirable- Influence: Diplomacy and credibility in front of senior audiences with the ability to influence the right outcomes, providing healthy challenge where appropriate- Communication: Able to effectively communicate ideas, issues and implications through storytelling and can distil and simplify complex messages into clear, concise communications that colleagues and senior leaders can understand- Analytical: Is a critical thinker and has a passion for problem solving, driving improvements, simplicity and automation- Decision Making: Able to make quick decisions on how to progress and when to escalate during an issue/incident.- Corporate knowledge: Awareness and understanding of the teams within BCB and CIB, how they interact, and broader operating model.- Relationship Management: Capability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally across the Group and externally with other industry participants, trade bodies and suppliers, using these relationships to build influence.- Micro and Macro Context: Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which LBG operates- People Management: Tangible knowledge and practicable
