Service Desk Engineer

Senitor have partnered with a successful technology company based in St Helens, which has a key focus on providing outstanding customer-service to their clients and which is experiencing successful year on year growth. They are now recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic IT Service Desk Engineer to join their successful IT Support team and be responsible for providing excellent 1st line support to end-users and customers.
The role will be 37.5 hours per week where you will be part of a rota-based system covering hours between 08:00 - 17:30. The company can offer excellent benefits including 25 days holidays plus Bank Holidays, Private Medical Insurance, ongoing training/certifications and contributory pension scheme (4%).
Summary of the Role:
Provide 1stline technical support via the Service Desk - including resolving customer issues within SLAs and managing internal escalations in a timely and efficient manner.
Assist with ongoing IT project work alongside Senior Engineers.
Take ownership of customer queries through to resolution or escalate as required.
Create accounts and set up new users.
Inventory management of software licenses.
Set up hardware for new users.
Provide technical training to users when required.
Skills/Experience required:
Knowledge of Office 365 administration and SharePoint.
Microsoft Exchange Server
Windows Desktop OS - 7/10
Any knowledge of Networking would be beneficial.
Hardware Experience
A passion for great customer service and excellent communication skills.
