Making A Difference as Systems Support Desk Officer in Corporate Services Directorate.
Applicants are invited for the post of Systems Support Desk Officer, based in the Systems Support Unit, within Corporate Services.
The post holder will be responsible for providing first line support to the systems supported by the SSU and for the team’s service desk function.
The systems team supports among other systems LCS (formally ICS), LAS (IAS), Capita ONE (formally EMS), and EHM (formally eCAF).
The post holder will be required to work with People’s Services to ensure that the systems we support meets the needs and ensure system users have effective support around their usage of these systems.
The post holder will be required to liaise and consult with staff at all levels, so excellent verbal communication skills are essential.
Applicants should have effective written communication skills, good organisational skills and the ability to work using their own initiative.
A knowledge of Social Services (both Children’s and Adult’s ) and LEA functions would be desirable.
A flexible person, who is a good team player with all these skills and is willing to learn, would be ideal.
