**About the HR Advisor role**:
This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of our ER team and take on a challenging role that will allow you to put your ER expertise into practice. As ER Advisor you will provide high quality, proactive and pragmatic advice to managers. You will manage an employee relations case load, acting as an advisor and coach. Your role will also support the delivery of employee relations initiatives and ensure best employee relations practice for cases relating to performance management, absence, and investigations.

**As our HR Advisor, you will be responsible for**:

- Supporting managers with expert and practical advice
- Gathering evidence and supporting managers to write investigation reports
- Supporting the delivery of training initiatives to managers to ensure best employee relations practice
- Ensuring that all policies and procedures are kept up to date
- Reviewing and interpreting employee relations data regularly
- Actively promoting employee engagement and health and wellbeing agendas
- Supporting managers to identify and implement reasonable or wellbeing adjustments in the workplace
- Support Employee Relations Manager by looking for new ways of delivering employee relations support
- Working flexibly across Kent Fire and Rescue sites

**What we’re looking for in our** **HR Advisor**:

- Good knowledge and experience of HR practices, terms and conditions and current employment law
- Detailed knowledge of HR processes including sickness absence and performance management
- Strong case management experience with the ability to manage a wide range of tasks
- Demonstrable experience of working in an HR role where you have assessed issues and determined the best course of action to resolve disputes
- Experience of supporting a positive and inclusive working environment
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Able to analyse data, identify trends and make decisions based on evidence presented
- CIPD qualified or equivalent level of experience
