Compass Associates are proud to be working with a specialist, North-West based charity, to recruit a Safeguarding & Mental Capacity Act Lead.

The charity provides inpatient rehabilitation, supported living and community outreach services for adults who have a range of mental health conditions, learning disabilities and/or complex care needs. As Safeguarding & MCA Lead, you would be the highest point of escalation for safeguarding alerts/concerns, deliver safeguarding training, implement safeguarding/mental capacity act audits and take the lead on ensuring all services/staff follow best practice in regards to safeguarding. As part of the charity's Quality Team, you will also form positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders as well as liaise closely with colleagues, commissioners and regulators.

Base
You will be based from home but will take part in team meetings at Head Office in Liverpool as well as carry out site visits across the North West, so access to your own car is essential.

**Services commutable from**: Manchester, Liverpool, Wigan, Lancaster, Warrington, St Helens, Bolton, Preston, Blackburn, Rochdale, Burnley, Wigan, Ellesmere Port and surrounding towns.

**Essential criteria**:
Qualified Social Worker
Social Work England registration
Experience and good knowledge of safeguarding, DOLS and Mental Capacity Act
UK driving licence and own car
Adult mental health and learning disabilities experience

Interview Process
Informal conversation followed by a formal interview with the Quality Managers and Head of Quality
