Mental Health Specialist

North East Ambition is committed to delivering exceptional mental health services in the community. As we continue to expand and remodel our services, we are seeking a skilled Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our team.
You will be at the forefront of our mental health services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, legally compliant Mental Health Act assessments and interventions. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and rights of individuals experiencing mental health crises.
This AMHP will work in a team of professionals who carry out statutory duties under the Mental Health Act, Care Act, and safeguarding procedures. You will work closely with social work teams and external partners, whilst carrying a small caseload of complex and interesting cases.
We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Ensure all practices comply with relevant mental health legislation and organisational policies.
- Work effectively with other health and social care professionals, agencies, and stakeholders to coordinate care and support for individuals.
- Provide guidance in crisis situations, making informed decisions to safeguard individuals and the community.
