Opening/locking up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols - To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures - Booking appointments using computerised system - Handle general enquires via telephone and face to face - Take accurate messages and relay to appropriate person - Process repeat and acute prescriptions - Preparation of appropriate recall letters - Dealing with clinical waste - Handling incoming samples - Action referrals - New patient/online registration - Process patients change of address (Knowledge of practice area) - Scanning, attaching, downloading, and filing letters - Obtaining information and results from outside agencies - Keeping the reception area clean and tidy, stock check, all posters/leaflets UpToDate - Checking fridges - Attend/Complete Mandatory training - Provision of refreshments for staff and visitors as required. - Opening post - Fax and photocopy - Data input of all relevant information using read codes - General use of Microsoft office - Prioritising tasks from different systems - To deal with queries from the practice website *Any other appropriate administrative tasks as and when required*
