Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide administration support to a number of meetings including arranging accommodation, collating papers and taking and transposing minutes. They will be responsible for day to day supervision of the Directorate Administrator. They will collate updates against a number of action plans relating to the risk, governance, quality and people agendas. To facilitate this they must develop a detailed knowledge of the administrative processes relevant to the Directorate.

The post holder must organise their own workload within defined guidelines. They must be flexible and adaptable to ensure workloads are achieved and service requirements are met at all times.

The post holder must be prepared to work across both NUH campuses.

The Science and Technology Directorate sits within the Clinical Support Division and is made up of nine services including Bowel Cancer Screening Hub, Clinical Engineering, Clinical Neurophysiology, Evoked Potentials, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Physics, Radiotherapy Physics, Sterile Services and Trent Simulation and Clinical Skills Centre.

**Qualifications**:
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 4 in Business and Administration
- GCSE Maths and English to grade C/5 or above
- Advanced keyboard skills

Experience

- Admin management and procedures
- Use of Excel to produce data and reports
- Use of MS Office, Excel, Outlook and bespoke databases
- Experience of HR processes
- Administration of meetings inc. production of minutes

- NHS experience including finance and data systems
