Purchasing / Stores Administrator

Hollingworth Design Ltd (HDL) are a rapidly growing Stockport based Engineering company. Operating out of a new 12,000 sq ft unit, HDL have a strong engineering competency, particularly in mechanical, design, electrical, pneumatics, software and process engineering, serving customers in the medical, motor sports and other industries.
We offer a range of engineering products and services to customers including compressed air and vacuum systems, contract CNC, design and hydrogen consultancy.
**Role Overview**
As Procurement Administrator, you will work with Procurement Manager to ensure a constant supply of parts and materials are available for our various production teams, whilst reducing potential risks within the supply chain and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and our internal QMS.
As Stores Administrator you will work with the Stores Team to assist with the smooth functioning of the department, with correct parts being ready for the manufacturing teams when required.
**Responsibilities Include**
**Procurement**:
- Procuring goods and services from new and existing suppliers
- Negotiating best price, and terms with manufacturing partners
- Monitor supplier issues and provide alternative solutions
- Liaise and collaborate with other departments and implement solutions
- Take a key role in the operation, implementation and expansion of our existing MRP system
- Provide ideas for process improvements
- Provide holiday / sickness cover for the Procurement Manager
**Stores**:
- Provide daily administration help for stores including booking in, stock identification, stock counting, scanning of delivery notes etc
- Adding new parts to the MRP
- Liaising with the engineering and manufacturing teams about min / max stock levels and investigations into incorrectly picked / ordered parts
- Provide holiday / sickness cover for the Stores Manager
**Key Requirements**
- Experience of working in procurement and stores in an engineering environment
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of responsibility within the company, suppliers and customers
- Strong IT skills, preferably with some programming experience
- Willingness to learn how all aspects of a manufacturing business in some exciting markets operates and contribute to its smooth and efficient running
