**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner / Purchasing Coordinator with a high attention to detail, procurement experience using oversea suppliers, a basic knowledge of shipping and experience of using an inventory / stock managementsystem.

Working as a Supply Chain Planner / Purchasing Coordinator you will be required to manage the fabric stock inventory and liaise with suppliers to ensure the fabric sourced is to the highest standard.

As a Supply Chain Planner / Purchasing Coordinator you will analyse data using a stock management system, Microsoft AX, to predict fabric buying trends in order to ensure stock levels are at an optimum to meet the business need.

The company forecast stock required up to 12 months in advance so a critical attention to detail is required to ensure the stock inventory remains manageable and is able to meet the business demands.

**DUTIES**

Your duties as a Supply Chain Planner / Purchasing Coordinator will include:

- Work with the Fabric Inventory Controller in establishing initial stock holding figures for base fabrics and coated fabric stocks to ensure the Fabrics Division is able to satisfy requirements
- Work with the Fabric Inventory Controller to establish and review stock holding figures ensuring this is communicated to the General Manager
- Ensure the stock management system remains accurate and up to date
- Work with reviewing lead times from suppliers to ensure fabric stock cover is always available at the Fabrics Division
- Monitor the sale of fabric and work with suppliers and the sales team to minimise the levels of redundant stock as fabric programmes are discontinued
- Liaise with suppliers regarding rejected base fabric to ensure they recognise their responsibility to replace reject fabric quickly with perfect base
- Liaise with the QC team to raise debits against non-conformance documentation
- Liaise with the production planning team to ensure correct levels of fabric available to fulfil stock levels of finished stock in advance of requirement
- Use trend analysis to identify sales cycles and provide alerts to appropriate colleagues and fabric suppliers
- Raise orders and support with purchasing, shipping and exporting with outside suppliers when required

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**
- Experience using a modern inventory management system (e.g. Microsoft AX, SAP, Sage or similar)
- Experience in planning, purchasing, and managing the flow of materials and supplies through an organisation
- Experience of sourcing from Europe and the Far East
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of shipping
- Excellent communication skills, proficient in English
- A polite, confident telephone manner
