Job Introduction
**HMP Bronzefield **are currently recruiting for **Education Administrator & Exam Officer** on a 12 month fixed-term contract.
This role sits at the very heart of learning, skills and employment at Bronzefield. You will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth running of qualifications and assessments across a number of learning, employment and skills areas. Using your great interpersonal skills you will actively recruit prisoners into job roles in addition to capturing regime data across departments in the prison and reporting to senior leadership. With a keen eye for detail and IT proficiency you will ensure prisoner needs are met through activity/employment reports and manage databases.
We house up to 572 women (approximately 14.5% of the national female prison population). The women in our custody have a diverse and complex set of needs and range from mothers and babies, young offenders, life and long term sentenced women, short to mid-term sentenced women, foreign nationals and women on remand. HMP/YOI Bronzefield is a closed local prison serving courts across the South of England. Our mission is to deliver quality of life services which make a meaningful difference to women in the criminal justice system by supporting them to change their lives for the better. To achieve this we focus on providing needs-based services and programmes to rehabilitate and improve the well-being of our women.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Allocating and capturing the attendance in educational programs
- Capturing the qualifications and liaising with the awarding bodies as required
- Input all qualification data onto national databases
- Check prior learning via the Learner Record Service
- Monitor Employment percentages
- Chair weekly Employment Boards
- Produce statistical reports and monthly quality assurance checks regarding available employment
- Improve the prisoner Employment/allocation Function: Induction process, weekly notices, collate information booklet, advertise vacancies on CMS, Notice Boards etc
- Responsible for assisting in the smooth and efficient organisation and administration of examinations within the Learning and Skills Department.
- Supporting the various Curriculum Leads in tasks related to exam preparation, coordination, invigilation, and result processing.
- Assist in scheduling and organising examinations, ensuring compliance with exam timetables and regulations.
- Coordinate exam venues, seating arrangements, and logistics, ensuring adequate resources and facilities are available.
- Support in the collection and collation of exam scripts, ensuring proper handling and confidentiality.
- Assist in the processing and verification of exam results, working closely with academic staff and exam boards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of exam processes and procedures, identifying areas for enhancement and efficiency.
**Essential**
- Experience working as an administrator
- Experience of working under pressure and to deadlines
- Able to manage and prioritise workloads
- Good use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills
**Desirable**
- An understanding of the complexities of prison regime
- Understanding of the Custodial Management System or a willingness to learn
