**Job description**:
Our Policy Advisor roles will include a mix of policy development and delivery, and the ongoing oversight of existing programmes, policies and public bodies set up to help deliver these. They will involve a lot of collaborative working to ensure high quality results. You will need to work autonomously and proactively to manage competing priorities, work directly to senior DMCS staff and manage senior external stakeholder relationships.

**Person specification**:
**Essential requirements**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience working with varied stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise tasks, dealing with conflicting priorities and delivering to tight deadlines.
- Skilled in being able to weigh up a range of evidence and use sound judgement to inform effective advice.
- Ability to see the bigger picture and understand how your work supports wider objectives and meets the diverse needs of stakeholders. employer.
- Experience in delivering work at pace and adapting to change.

**Desirable skills**:

- Experience working collaboratively to achieve a desired outcome e.g. University project
