An exciting opportunity has arisen for a co-ordinator/administrator to support the delivery of Targeted Lung Health Checks (TLHC)
The job will be based on home working arrangements, with opportunities to meet the wider team for face-to-face meetings. The working pattern is Monday to Friday
The successful applicant will be part of a team delivering this pilot, which includes Respiratory Consultants, Radiology Consultants, Nurses, and programme managers.
Much of the pathway, including telephone lung health checks and CT scans will be delivered by an external service provider. The TLHC team have multiple responsibilities to ensure the service is delivered successful and safely and that the screening participants referral is carefully managed.
The role will be varied and will adapt as the programme expands. However, the post holder is expected to fulfil the following functions: - Co-ordinate and participate in TLHC MDT meetings - Provide administrative support to the TLHC MDTs - Manage and track screening participants - Ensure all screening participants requiring discussion are listed within the set timescales - Request all relevant previous imaging and ensure all images are available if needed for the meeting - Document with support from lead nurse, outcomes of the MDT - Ensure all relevant clinical management discussions noted/documented - Prepare and provide information/data on cancer outcomes to support evaluation of the programme - Viewing, extracting relevant information (clinical outcomes) from a various source of systems, such as Somerset (SCR), PACS, RIS - Close working, when required, with Trust Cancer Teams - Ensure all onward referrals as recommended by the MDT team are actioned effectively in a timely manner - To have regular meetings with wider team members to ensure that the separate elements of team accountabilities are fully addressed. - To collect and analyse data; specifically connected to cancer diagnoses outcomes - To support the administrative process of prior imaging checks - Ensure participants are transferred onto tumour specific MDT where applicable - To work closely with the lead Nurse, Clinical Director, and members of the Cancer Alliance delivery team.

As a key member of this service, you will be part of a growing national cancer programme, playing an essential role in supporting patients entering the Lung Cancer Screening Pathway and providing contribution to the evaluation of the outcomes to help future national decision making with national roll out.
