Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Co-ordinator

With business growing at an incredible speed, we have a new role open as SHE Co-ordinator.

About the Role

On a day-to-day basis you will assist in the monitoring and development of the Company Health and Safety Management System as well as supporting accident and incident investigations and cascading any improvements and lessons learnt. You will be responsible for the implementation of the Health and Safety Strategy across the business, by developing and issuing safety briefs, updating Health and Safety rules, Toolbox talks as example.

You will thrive in a very busy and demanding environment that requires the ability to multi-task effectively, remaining professional at all times. You will be comfortable working to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Investigate accidents or incidents to determine root cause and prevent future occurrences
- Provide training on safety protocols, emergency procedures and first aid.
- Collaborate with management to address and safety concerns or issues.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on safety performance.
- Stay up to date with relevant regulations and best practices in environmental health and safety
- Working to BRC and ISO Standards and retailer requirements
- Compliance of company policies, legislative requirements include financial, health and safety, BRC, ISO standards and HR related issues.
- To liaise with any contractors, ensuring all documentation is received.
- Identify and lead environmental projects.
- Lead Safety committee meetings
- NEBOSH Qualification.
- Have previous experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental role within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of first aid techniques and procedures
- Strong report writing skills for documenting inspections, incidents and corrective actions
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
- Strong IT skills.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Have the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Be flexible and adaptable.
- 30 days holiday pro-rata, inclusive of Bank Holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £43,000.00 per year
