Our care reaches from in-patient services through to independent community living, collaborating closely with communities and commissioners alike. Active Pathways operates across Preston, Leeds and Halifax and in this role you will have the opportunity to input into the therapy service in each of these locations.
Reporting to a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, you will join the psychology team where you will be guided and supervised as you assist with assessments, formulations and treatments to people within a group and 1-1 setting. As a Psychologist Assistant, you will assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.
**ROLE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To hold a caseload of clinical work, including carrying out individual psychological intervention
- Undertake collaborative risk assessment and management for individual patients and to provide general advice
- Carry out these duties in consultation with the Lead Psychologist and identified supervisor, and contribute to the maintenance and development of a high quality psychological service
**To be successful in this role, you'll need**:
- Upper second class honours degree in Psychology
- Relevant paid or voluntary work with people with mental health needs /Learning disabilities.
- To meet professional practice expectations and the BPS code of ethics
- A BPS accredited recognised degree in Psychology conferring Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR)
- A full driving license and the ability to travel between locations.
