**Job Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Teacher to join our team at Axcis Education Recruitment. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary and/or secondary setting.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing tailored support and quality education to students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. This will involve employing various teaching methods and resources, including technology, to promote the educational, social, and emotional development of students.

**Responsibilities**

  • Developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other educational professionals and parents to set and review targets for each student.
  • Providing guidance and support to teaching assistants and learning support staff within the classroom.
  • Liaising with multidisciplinary teams, including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, educational psychologists, and social services, to ensure a holistic approach to the students' well-being.

**Requirements**

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK.
  • Proven experience working with children with SEN within a primary and/or secondary setting.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching and supporting students with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
