**About Them**:
They are a leading organisation in fusion energy technology, dedicated to delivering the Spherical Tokamak for Energy

Production (STEP) prototype fusion plant. Committed to combatting climate change and ensuring energy independence, they are on track to achieve commercial viability by mid-century.

**Position: Head of People**

**Location: Culham, Oxfordshire or West Burton, Nottinghamshire**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute the People strategy for the organisation and the STEP Programme.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and delivery of the STEP Programme.
- Implement People strategies across the employee lifecycle.
- Establish robust reporting mechanisms for the People function.
- Drive talent management initiatives, including recruitment and retention strategies.
- Lead a high-performing People team and foster an inclusive work environment.
- Collaborate closely with partner organisations to ensure workforce planning and talent development alignment.

**Qualifications**:

- Extensive experience in HR leadership roles, driving business performance.
- Proven track record in strategic HR initiatives and organisational change management.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously.
