Together Active is a local charity, whose vision is to design out inactivity across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. The charity has ambitious plans for growing and is making a significant investment in expanding their workforce over the next 12 months. They have a fantastic opportunity for a Communications Lead to develop and implement an effective communication strategy.

**The Role**

The Communications Lead is a key role within the organisation, responsible for engaging the public, inspiring them to be more active, and raising Together Active’s profile with a range of key stakeholders.

You will enable Together Active to be a trusted and recognisable name across the region for insight, knowledge and support in relation to physical activity for health and wellbeing, social inclusion and community development.

You will produce inclusive, accessible communications which drive engagement to facilitate Together Active being acknowledged as a key player in addressing public health challenges related to physical activity.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

- Building communications strategies to develop the Together Active and Active My Way brands.
- Responding to developments in news and external policy changes by quickly and effectively creating multi-channel communications.
- Growing and nurturing our social media presence to enhance our reputation locally and nationally.
- Developing relationships with the media and similar minded organisations to strengthen our voice and increase our reach.
- Establishing measurable metrics and KPIs to track the impact and effectiveness of our communications, and recommending changes based on insights to improve them.
- Collaborating internally and externally, with partners, to develop high-quality, evidence-based content that educates and informs and furthers our reputation.

**About You**

As Communications Lead, you will have experience of developing and implementing an effective communication strategies.

You will also have experience of:

- Designing high-quality and engaging content, campaigns and narratives, with relevant performance metrics

- Seeking out new opportunities and partnerships
- Managing own workload effectively.

You may also have experience in areas such as Communications Manager, Senior Communications Officer, Communications and Engagement Lead, Communications and Engagement Manager, Senior Communications and Engagement Officer.
