**Senior Planning Engineer**
- Location: Hybrid, with 2-3 days in Birmingham
- +£70,000 Packages available

Projects: HVDC, Grid
Turner Lovell are recruiting for a fast growing international EPC contractor who have a strong pipeline of HVDC, HV-AC and offshore wind projects across the UK and Europe.
- Demonstrable experience in planning major turnkey infrastructure projects
- Expert Primavera P6 user
- Knowledge of risk management processes and tools
- Experience managing small teams within a large project
- Knowledge of cost control function and interface with schedule on large turnkey projects
- Good level of relevant industry knowledge within the Renewable Energy / Power Generation sector
**This role would see you working on the following**:
- Building the project baseline gaining approval of client and internal stakeholders
- Maintaining project schedule and resource forecasts throughout the project lifecycles
- Analysing schedule and trends and communicates forecasted schedule risk to project team, drive risk mitigation proposals
- Maintaining a register of potential schedule and cost risks in collaboration with the Risk Manager
- Checking and controls schedule movements, comparing with current scope and progress as well as with previous forecast. Also comparing with productivity factors and validating accuracy of future task durations
- Ensuring that forecast task durations and logic are understood and committed by the task owners
- Producing and communicating internal and external project reporting of project status
- Leading collaboration with 3rd parties on project schedule interfaces including maintenance of an interface register
- Presenting all time schedule data in a transparent way, attending project and management reviews to present schedule status
- Providing time related calculations to ensure change order schedule / cost estimates are accurate
- Aligning with Cost Controller to ensure reconciliation between P6 schedule and approved cost phasing
- Leading the team of Project Planning Engineers on large and complex projects
- Taking full responsibility for the planning output for the assigned project(s) as part of the project controls function
- Leading collaboration with functional task and resource owners to find strategies to reduce durations and manhours
- Ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of the project controls team
