The successful applicant will need to have the ability to implement developmental, therapeutic and specialised play to children and young people from birth to 18 years in an environment that changes constantly. To work as a member of the multidisciplinary team to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions using reflective practice to achieve best outcomes.

To accompany child and family to other departments.

Work within the defined policies, procedures, standards and protocols of the Ward, Department Directorate and Division and report outcomes to HPS to enable monitoring of standards.

To comply with the National Association Health Play Specialists Code of Professional Conduct.

Participate in the development of health promotion activities as appropriate.
