An exciting new opportunity has arisen here on Kipling Ward at the Conquest Hospital, we are looking for a qualified, experienced and registered Health Play Specialist to join our team.
This is a an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to promote play and provide specialist input to children and young people with on an acute Paediatric ward, Short stay assessment unit and Outpatients department. You will have the opportunity to work both independently and alongside a large multi - disciplinary team to develop your skills set in this specialist area and continue your professional development.

To provide a welcoming, child friendly atmosphere with a caring, attitude towards children and their families.
Devise and implement play preparation tailored to each child’s individual needs and review regularly.
To understand the need for and initiate the use of specialised therapeutic play
To initiate and participate in preparation and distraction for invasive/painful procedures.
Work with the child’s family as a whole, respecting their needs and wishes whilst providing the best care for the child.
