**This is a fantastic opportunity to work for the largest private healthcare organisation in the UK at a really exciting time for the Group.**

**Reporting directly to the CIO, the role holder will have oversight of the InfoSec function (led by the Operational InfoSec Manager) and the Information Governance function (led by our DPO), as well being a key member of the Technology Senior Leadership Team.**

**The role would suit someone who has a comprehensive knowledge of both InfoSec and InfoGov, with the ability to achieve the correct and effective balance between policy and pragmatism. This is a senior leadership role in a complex business, so you will also need to be both highly organised and a very effective communicator, with excellent stakeholder management skills.**

**This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week.**

**Applicants should meet the following criteria**:

- Significant (10+ years) successful track record in implementing and maintaining effective Information Security Management Systems within large (~£500M+ annual revenue, 10,000+ end-users, 40+ different locations) organisations
Good (5+ years) experience in managing teams (& 3rd Parties) to provide Information Security expertise, monitoring, and response.
- Good (5+ years) practical experience of working to Information Security formal standards (i.e., ISO27001, ISO27002) and relevant Information Governance regulations e.g., UK Data Protection Act
- Security qualifications/accreditations equivalent to CISM, CISA, CISSP obtained and maintained.
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience (as above).
- Information Security (& Governance) pragmatic evangelist, passionate about the need to protect data properly yet able to balance this successfully against the need to get Business value from data.
Good stakeholder management and communication / negotiation skills (verbal & written), able to influence and persuade at all levels, including Executive team and 3rd Party key suppliers & partners.
Comfortable with leading and working under own initiative and coordinating and influencing across a wider (virtual) team to deliver results and continuous improvement.

**Duties of this role include**:

- Developing, maintaining, and improving an appropriate Information Security Management System (ISMS) and Information Governance & Data Protection function. To achieve & retain associated Information Security and Information Governance certifications and accreditations.
- Continuous on-going oversight of Information Security and Information Governance risks across the organisation, including appropriate due diligence for external 3rd Party providers and for any significant IT or regulation related changes.
- Providing the strategic direction, and prioritisation, for the information security improvement programme(s).
- Maintaining and evangelising an “Information Management” aware culture across the organisation.
- Implement, maintain, and improve an appropriate Information Security Management System (ISMS) to meet Business objectives.
- Develop and implement corporate policies, standards, and guidelines for Information Security and Governance to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of corporate information.
- Ensure that the organisation's information governance framework (policies, standards, DPIAs, RoPAs, and other company documentation) meets, and remains effective in meeting, the current and evolving data protection standards.
- Obtain senior management commitment and budget commitment for identified Group-wide Information Security and information Governance initiatives.
