Key Responsibilities
Managing membership records
Managing the onboarding of new staff
Maintaining staff records in relation to training, appraisals, probations, promotions
Providing admin support for the delivery of special projects e.g. Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Managing bookings for activities and sessions.
Maintaining financial administrative systems (Equals, Sage, Excel).
Minor graphic design (using Canva, Photoshop) Implementing and maintaining administrative systems. (Upshot, Photo Archives, Google Sheets).
Dealing with correspondence and phone calls.
Making updates and posts on the company website.
Handling Purchase Requests and Invoices.
Collating and allocating expenses.
Building and maintaining effective relationships with staff, volunteers, parents and young people
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
- Current and demonstrated admin experience and skills
- An excellent understanding of Microsoft Office tools & Google suite, Excel & Google Sheets.
- Ability to use PCs, Mac & Smart Mobile Devices
- Ability to quickly comprehend new software systems and apps.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to quickly and accurately record data on online systems
- Ability to create basic infographics and produce smart, BHY branded documents
- Ability to work in a changing environment, delivering tasks against agreed timescales
- Flexible in approach to working hours
- Ability to use own initiative and identify process improvements
Desirable
- Experience of working in the charity or education sector
- Full UK driving licence
